FAQs

What is your service area? Do you charge for travel?

Gamebox Mobile Video Gaming is headquartered in Paramount California. We will travel up to 50 miles outside of zip code 90723. Requests for events 50+ miles outside of zip code 90723 will be evaluated on a case by case basis. We do not charge a travel surcharge for parties or events within 20 miles of zip code 90723.  

How big is the game trailer? How much space do you need to operate? How long does setup take?

Our 20' mobile gaming trailer has a smaller profile than some of the others the industry....which makes us ideal for smaller spaces and narrow streets. We need approximately 40' of operating space with the tow vehicle and trailer combined. Setup generally takes between 15-20 minutes. We do not allow customers inside the trailer during setup. Please ensure parking is available before we arrive to prevent delays with setup. *Please note that we cannot allow extra game play if delays in setup are caused because parking is not readily available upon arrival.

Can the trailer be unhitched from the truck to accommodate smaller parking areas?

It is against our policy to unhitch the gaming trailer from the truck for safety and liability reasons. However, we may consider on a case by case basis if the request is made in advance.

Can you park in a driveway?

Yes. We can park anywhere with a flat and level surface. However, we generally prefer to park curbside to mitigate the risk of damage to driveways and/or the gaming trailer. We do not park on hills, wet grass, or in muddy areas for the safety of our customers and Game Coaches.

Is the game trailer wheelchair accessible?

Yes. Absolutely. Our trailer can accommodate smaller wheelchairs for inside play. Please note that our Game Coaches are not allowed to assist with maneuvering wheelchairs in and out of the trailer for liability reasons.

Does the game trailer have air conditioning?

Yes. The trailed is equipped with vent AC and indoor high velocity fans to maintain a cool atmosphere.

What happens if it rains?

The show must go on! We will not utilize the outside tv's if it rains to protect the equipment from water damage. We will only cancel a party or event if the weather will pose a safety hazard for guests and our team.

How is the trailer powered? Will you need to connect to my power source?

The trailer is powered by a 6500 watt generator. We do not require use of power sources other than our own for liability reasons.

Can you service parties or events at parks? Do you service parties or events on holidays?

Yes. Most parks allow mobile video game trucks as long as they are parked alongside a curb, on the street, or in a legal parking space in the lot. In most cases, no additional permits are required. You are responsible for obtaining the required permits if applicable. *An additional charge may apply if the park requires a COI (Certificate of Insurance).

Can I provide my own video games for play?

We do not allow the use of personal video games during the party or event for liability reasons. However, you can request a game if it is not listed in our catalog and we will try our best to obtain the game prior to your party or event.

How many players can the trailer accommodate during a single session?

We can accommodate up to eight (8) players on the outside gaming stations at one time and ten (10) players on the inside gaming stations.

What if I anticipate more than 18 guests at my party or event?

We suggest implementing 30 minute sessions per 18 guests and rotating each group so that everyone has adequate time for gaming. . At this rate...36 guests can play per hour.

What if I don't want my child or guests playing certain games?

No problem. You will receive a courtesy call or text prior to your event. At this time...you can specify what type of games you do not wish to be played at your party or event. We will alert our Game Coaches so they know in advance what games to put on the DNP (Do Not Play) list.

Do you offer online games such as Fortnite and Apex Legends?

Of course! Please note that the quality of play is determined by the strength of the wifi signal in the area. We do not allow use of our wifi connection for remote crossplay. We cannot guarantee quality of play.

Does an adult need to be present to supervise children and guests?

Yes. The host of the party or event, or another responsible adult must remain nearby to supervise children and guests at all times.

Are there any rules I should know about?

Yes. Just a few. The number #1 rule is to have fun.  Followed by: No food, drinks, candy, or gum allowed in the trailer. No scooters, bikes, skateboards, skates, or hoverboards allowed in the trailer. No profanity or disruptive behavior. No touching of the games and systems. Our Game Coaches are there to assist at all times. That's it!  

Do you require a deposit for reservations?

Yes. A deposit of $50 is required for standard events. Please review our General Policies for more information about deposit requirements.  


Please note that your requested date/time cannot be reserved or guaranteed without a deposit.

What type of payments do you accept?

We accept valid debit or credit cards for initial deposit payments. Balances can be paid with cash, Zelle transfer, or school checks. We do not accept payments from third-party apps such as CashApp, Venmo, or Paypal.

When do you collect the balance owed?

The balance owed is due 24 hours prior to the date of service.  We will not provide services if the balance is not paid in full at that time. Repeat customers may be allowed to pay the balance on the day of the event.


What is your cancellation policy? Do you offer refunds of the deposit?

All deposits are non-refundable. However, we understand that things happen and we will allow one (1) reschedule based on availability, or apply the credit towards another service. We will issue a refund of 100% of the deposit if Gamebox cancels a reservation for any reason. Please allow up to 3-5 business days for refund processing.

Do you offer discounts?

Yes! We have discounts available for students and loyal customers. Please note that you can only apply 1 discount per party or event.  


Non-profit or charitable organizations hosting events with 50 or more attendees will be charged the Everyday Play Package rate in lieu of the Special Event Play Package rate.
